SATO48 2025 Film Challenge
This short film was created as part of the SATO48 Film Challenge, an annual competition where filmmakers are given just 48 hours to write, shoot, edit, and submit a five-minute short film based on a unique “Inspiration Package.”

I had the privilege of co-writing this project with Nico Burasco and serving as the cinematographer. With a talented team and a tight deadline, we brought a story to life that captured this year's theme: "One Thing Changes Everything."

The challenge required us to show how one thing sets off a chain of five distinct turning points—each leading to the next—with no voiceover, no on-screen text, and no direct address to the camera. The storytelling had to rely entirely on visuals, sound, and performance.

Our assigned turning points included:
-
A happy memory
-
A man-made physical object
-
A repeated catch phrase
-
A recurring sound
-
A strong, non-human smell

We are proud to share that this film received the award for Best Sound Design. It was an intense creative sprint, and we’re incredibly proud of what our team accomplished.
